-- Kazakh envoy: Astana-Tehran ties to keep rising

The upward trend of cooperation between Tehran and Astana will continue as in the past as the two neighbors will witness the expansion of relations.

Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Tehran Askhat Orazbay announced the above in a press conference held in Tehran on Tuesday about reforms on the eve of Kazakhstan’s snap presidential election which will be held on November 20.

--Iran in talks with new customers for Iranian crude: NIOC

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) is in talks with new customers for Iranian oil, said the head of the company adding that some deals have been signed with trade partners for swapping oil and gas.

Mohsen Khojasteh-Mehr said on Tuesday that according to the decision of the Economic Council of Iran, a sum of 700 low-efficiency wells worth 500 million euros will be developed by new technology-based firms (NTBFs).

--Commander: Zionist regime knows cannot confront Iran

The Zionist regime has now realized that it is, and will be, incapable of confronting Iran, said the commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force.

Brigadier General Alireza Sabahifard made the remark in an interview with IRNA, noting that the interesting thing is that the Iron Dome, which the Zionists maintain is effective against any threat, is even incapable of intercepting or foiling the smallest rockets and missiles.

--Army chief: ‘Ominous Goal’ of Enemies to Disintegrate Iran Will Fail

The Chief Commander of Iran’s Army Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi said on Tuesday that even those who claim to be superpowers do not dare to attack Iran, stressing that the enemies will fail to achieve their “ominous goal” to disintegrate the Islamic Republic.

“After 40 years since the Islamic Revolution, no one and no country, even those who claim to be superpowers, dare to invade Iran and even think about it,” Major General Mousavi said.

--Iran Sitting Volleyball Thrash U.S. at 2022 World Championship

The national Iranian men’s sitting volleyball team has defeated the United States 3-0 to advance to the semifinal of the 2022 Sitting Volleyball World Championship.

The Iranian sitting volleyball team won the United States on Tuesday in three straight sets (25:18, 25:15, and 25:17).

Iran gained decisive wins against the teams of Iraq, Kazakhstan and Croatia in the Group B of the competitions in the group stage to advance to the next round where the team won Japan 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals against the United States.

--Bolton Reveals US Smuggling of Arms into Iran

Former US national security advisor Bolton says subversive groups in Iran, which he characterized as the opposition, are arming with weapons seized from Basij forces and imported from Iraq’s Kurdistan.

In an interview with London-based BBC Persian TV channel, Bolton who spearheaded former US president Donald Trump’s anti-Iran policies for years, expressed hope that the ongoing protests in Iran, sparked by the death of a young woman in police custody, would lead to “regime change.”

--40% of oil income to be injected into NDF

The head of Iran’s Planning and Budget Organization (PBO) has said 40 percent of the oil revenues earned in the current Iranian calendar year (started on March 21) will be injected into the country’s National Development Fund (NDF), Shana reported.

“This year is the first year that 40 percent of the oil revenue will go to the National Development Fund, while in previous years only 20 percent [of the revenues] were deposited into the development fund,” Masoud Mirkazemi said.

--Iranian movies line up for Route 66 Film Festival

The Route 66 Film Festival has selected a lineup of 16 Iranian shorts to screen in its 21st edition, which is currently underway in Springfield, the capital city of Illinois.

The festival will be running until November 14 entirely online. An in-person screening of award-winning films will be held on November 12.

The acclaimed animated movie “The Statue” by Mohsen Salehifard is one of the films.

--Over 215,000 ‘nature partners’ helping preserve natural resources

In order to educate, promote and attract people's participation, 215,240 people are trained as 'partners of nature', director of education, promotion and public participation of the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization, has said.

Some 83 percent of the lands are presided over by the Organization, including forests and pastures, ISNA quoted Hossein Mirzaei as saying on Monday.

On a large scale, the government is not able to manage these areas alone. Therefore, there is a need for people's participation to preserve natural resources, he further stated.
